Hi Nick. I'm an early educator and my children have been assessed with your amazing cranky bear collection books this year. I would like to do something for them and was wondering if you would come and read your books to them? Thanks
We will like to invite you to our school for Literacy week and read to our students. Thanks
Hi Nick, I teach grade 1 in Victoria and was wondering if you do school visits at all? I know our students would love the opportunity to meet you and hear you talk about your books and where your inspiration comes from. Thank you
Hi Nick, I was wondering who Wing Ding was and the story behind the survival. I was hoping to include it as some background information at a reading of 'The fabulous friend machine' Thanks for a great book.
Hi Nick. We would love to have you at our school at Morisset NSW sometime in August 2018. Do you do school visits? How do we go about booking you and what are the costs? The students here LOVE ALL YOUR BOOKS!!!!
Thanks for the Cranky and Noisy Bear books. Intentional or not, you have captured the essence of community development for me in East Kimberley.
Crank Bear reminds us that obvious and well intentioned solutions often miss the mark, and challenges me instead to ask questions and listen intently to the answers.
Noisy Bear's lesson is that eventual success => confidence => empowerment.
My colleague and I read these books to each other and agreed you have captured this so well.
Best wishes and thanks,

My sister and I live in a suburb of Chicago and we are writing a children's picture book. We wanted to let you know we've fallen in love with your books and illustrations! We think you are a genius!
We've been looking at numerous children's books for inspiration, especially with rhyming and meter..
I hope you don't mind if we ask you a couple of questions.
We are struggling with correct meter. When you are writing your rhyming books do you also struggle with meter?
I'm illustrating our book and I'm using markers, pen and ink. I was curious what you use for your illustrations.
We are so happy we stumbled on to your books! They're wonderful.
Hello Mr. Bland,
I'm an Italian migrated in Australia about 6 years ago and my kids love your books.
I've tried to see if there are Italian version of them, but I understand they are in English only. Am I right?
Would you be interested in discuss further about this?
Good morning Mr Bland,
Hope you are well. Our children's service, Smile-A-Mile Fun Bus & Toy Library Inc. at Coolalinga, is hosting a Children's Week event at the Humpty Doo Village Green on Thursday 25th October and wondered if you would be at all interested in having a workshop/reading session at the celebration. We are expecting around 450 children from local pre-schools and remote schools including Belyuen Community and Pine Creek as well as under school age children coming along with their families.
Activities at the event will be focused on literacy, books and a love of reading. We have support from a number of community organisations that will set up information stalls and children's activities including CDU, Starwin Shopfront, Early Childhood Australia and Taminmin Community Library. We are passionate about supporting Indigenous and non-Indigenous children to come together at safe, welcoming and vibrant family events that help make connections between people and facilitates a love of learning and exploring our world through books and literacy.
We can be contacted at Smile-A-Mile on 8983 2009 if you are interested. Thanks very much for your time.
Kind regards, Jacinta McInnerney
Hi Mr Bland
My sons knows off by heart the very hungry bear. I was hoping to get a signed copy of the book. We live in Darwin. Would this be possible?
I am an aspiring writer for children's picture books and I am such a big fan. My time in countless book shops over the years has been spent in the children's section, and my career has been based in children's education.
Being constantly surrounded by picture books and rhymes, I wanted to tell you that I think your books are gorgeous. The writing, the illustrations and the stories are just to good. The very noisy bear is one of my favourites, as the end with the violin always seems to give me goosebumps. Please continue to write as you are such an inspiration to me. Where do you get your inspiration from? Which book was your big breakout that got you into being published?
I have about a million stories in a thousand different notebooks but I have a few select few that are good to go and in constant emails and post boxes being sent to agencies and publishers around the world. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated to your biggest fan who is trying to get my work printed!
Thank you for our time
We love reading your books in our school library. We think you are a fabulous Author and Illustrator! Your books make us laugh a lot, they are very funny. You are one of our favourite authors and the students are always borrowing your books..in fact the many copies are hardly ever available. The students have to reserve a copy and so do the teachers. Thanks and we can't wait for more books written by you! From your fans at Wentworthville Public School.
Hi Nick - just wondering if you were thinking of visiting Adelaide on and around book week this year. Our school would love to have you visit.
Hi Nick, just a suggestion for a new bear book from my 5 and 7 year old boys - ‘a very stinky bear’! 😊 we love your books!
I am the director of a childcare centre in Brisbane. My children, staff and I are all big fans of you and all your beautiful writing.
We are currently developing a reading program for children that may not be read to very often, we are hoping to read your stories and video them to post to our school page where children can access. We appreciate any assistance you can provide.
Thank you for your time.
To Nick Bland,
We are a kindergarten class from a school in Canberra. We have been reading your books as part of our author study this term. We love your books. Our favourite books are The Very Hungry Bear and The Unscary Book. When we read The Unscary Book we created a class book, where everyone created their own page for our own Unscary book. We loved doing it.
We have some questions for you.
Have you written any new books?
What is your favourite book?
Do you like writing and illustrating books?
Have you created any new characters for your books?
Thank you for your time
I love your books and so do my children!
I am in the process of creating an app and would really like to talk with you, could you please email me and I will explain further.
